untitled
without my skin, with eyes
and hands, I watch hills form, crest
recede
we measure life with tape and pictures,
exchange stories or
that which we do not know
or everything
carpet burns aside,
I would like to see your face
unshuttered
explain:
waiting is the greatest strength we have
it separates us from
ourselves
- looks like acceptance
unrewarded
because
we wouldn’t know the difference between life
and death, if we didn’t have to
leave
